LICS Wightman Road Mosque screened the Final of the Champions League. It was a warm, welcoming event where families could spend time together while meeting many other members of the community.
Children were happy and enjoyed sharing this memorable event. Although many were sad that Arsenal did not win but they agreed that it was an exhilarating event and good to be with the children in an alcohol free environment.
Food and drinks were on sale. Appreciation to Faris (MFSA) Imam Ishaaq, Sheeraz, Imran, and all LICS Helpers for their commitment to making this event a dramatic one.
Bro Faris explained that MFSA stand against discrimination in football, creating safe spaces for Muslim fans to enjoy the game freely. Championing inclusion, awareness and experiences of Muslim football fans across the UK.
It was agreed that LICS will work with MFSA to host other events uniting our congregations.
ASR prayer was observed before the second half began.
Thank you to all for supporting to what was a great event.
